Christmas is around the corner and Craig offers a special gift to Jane. He thinks Jane is exceptional at what she does, but also not normal. Listen on to hear why. Listen to what Jane has to say about these mind boggling questions.
Jane talks about being a 'wanna be morning exerciser'. Hear as she shares her tips. Craig and Jane share a laugh while attempting to explain the reality of exercising.
Special guest for this week's show is Toby Morrison, who is a chronic fatigue wellness coach. Not only is it a mouthful to say, but also a very interesting job. Just listen to Jane's excitement. Toby reveals that there is still lots more to learn about chronic fatigue syndrome. Hear Toby talk to Craig and Jane about how this syndrome had an impact on his life. Being a person that has been through this illness, Toby is able to provide deep information about chronic fatigue. Hear all about the illness and what can be done about it. Also hear some of our listeners share their stories about chronic fatigue syndrome.
As the Grandstanders and special guest wind up this week's show, Craig and Jane prove that they are indeed the greatest at entertaining the masses on a Saturday morning. Don't forget to catch the Grandstanders again next week at 8 am.

The Grandstanders Podcast - 10 December 2011
Today on the Grandstanders it's all about survival - survival to stay healthy amongst food a-plenty at Christmas parties and survival stories from the news.
Craig and Jane brings you tips for preventing Christmas party weight gain. They also talk genetics: why is it that skinny people find it difficult to put on weight and over-weight people find it difficult to put off weight? Is it true that everyone has a default weight set point that their body naturally reverts to? Surprising results from research - it hardly seems fair that for some people calories turn into muscles without much work! (mind you, they are the exception). Also answers to listeners’ questions and the truth about carbohydrates – are they really that bad for you?
Continuing with the theme of research, the Grandstanders report on the latest, cutting-edge 'yawning' research. Did you know that yawning may be an expression of social empathy and that we are more 'contagious' to the yawns of those that are ours (family and friends)? Tune in for the implications of this research and why this may be life-defining for Craig.
Also, lots of encouraging stories from the news. For a story that invokes wide-eyed wonderment: paralympian Monique van der Vorst's story of recovery. Not only an incredible demonstration of will-power, but a powerful reminder that good things can come out of bad situations.
Finally, the much-loved light-hearted banter between our co-hosts.....Craig comments on Jane's fashion sense and her 'lumberjack' look. Jane's recount of her husband's revelation on health and fitness.

The Grandstanders Podcast - 3 December 2011
The Grandstanders are back to share in your Saturday mornings. Extra special this week as Criag is determined to host the show with Jane, man-flu and all! (Tune in for an animated recount of how Craig dragged himself out of bed and into the studios of Mitcham)
First off the bat, switching-off strategies. In our fast paced, microwave society, do you make timeout a non-negotiable part of your schedule? What strategies do you use to switch off?
We also talk BPA (Bisphenol A) this week - the nasty chemicals sometimes used in food packaging. Find out what it is, how to spot it and how to avoid it. In a similar vein, Craig and Jane assess the merits of bottled water. Is it really better for our health, or is it simply a marketing strategy used by companies to entice us to buy their products?
Lots of answers to listeners' questions this week. Are lollies okay as a post-event training snack? How often should we replace our runners? Learn to identify and spot the difference between pronation and supination and how that relates to choosing the right shoes to support your foot type.
Finally, as we approach the Christmas season, listen out for the benefits of the superfood Cranberry! Not only that but recipe suggestions from our listeners - healthy and delicious.

The Grandstanders Podcast - 26th November 2011
On The Grandstanders this week, Craig tells us about Jane’s trip to hospital. Jane currently has pneumonia and was bedridden and in hospital for four days. Jane said due to her current health, she might even fall asleep on air!
Due to her illness, Jane challenged Craig to organise the show this week, because she had nothing prepared. The first thing that Craig set out to do was to ask listeners about how to get rid of a sore throat or more importantly, Jane’s dodgy lungs!
Staying on topic about Jane’s hospital stay, whilst there, a patient came in and asked Jane to open a package for her. To Jane’s surprise it was a packet of cigarettes! Craig said it was a good case of Irony. The patient then asked Jane what she was in for, and truthfully Jane told her. The patient then exited the room really quickly, before Jane had time to explain.
Craig spoke about Thursday night’s 2011 AFL draft and how Greater Western Sydney Giants - the new team entering the AFL, and how they got 14 of the first round picks. Craig also said how he was surprised how Brendan Fevola was over looked on the draft as he was top goal scorer 3 years ago.
Jane spoke about a spectacular story of how a 61 year old man pulled over to help a woman change her tyre. The man drove further down the road and had heart attack. The best part of this story was that the woman he assisted earlier pulled over and performed CPR on him and saved his life!.
Another heart warming story from Germany, an armed robber burst into a house, but left humbled and empty handed, because a 5 and 6 year old who were in the house at the time offered the thief their piggy banks. The robber left embarrassed, and hopefully a little wiser perhaps..
This rounds up another great week of the Grandstanders. Listen or download the Podcast below!
